John Wood, Jr. was a mentor and friend who had an immeasurable impact on my life. For over 30 years, starting in high school, John taught me invaluable lessons about vision, life, family, aviation, and business leadership. As the CEO of tech companies in Boston, I learned from John how to lead high-growth organizations that positively impacted all involved. He exemplified strong, compassionate leadership through his actions. In aviation, John was my flight instructor and mentor. We flew together all over New England and even crossed the North Atlantic, logging hundreds of hours in the air. His passion for adventure was infectious - he opened up worlds I never would have experienced without him.
